At the World Congress on Safety and Health at Work in Singapore in 2017, the International Social Security Association (ISSA) launched the Vision Zero prevention campaign with a global perspective. Since then, Vision Zero has evolved into a worldwide strategic movement for safety, health, and well-being and has been successfully implemented across the globe.
Through its website, https://visionzero.global/, the ISSA communicates the core messages of the Vision Zero strategy. The Vision Zero Toolbox provides a range of practical tools and resources to help interested organizations and individuals implement the strategy.
Since 2017, Vision Zero has been introduced in more than 50 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, North and Latin America, as well as Australia. Many countries have achieved significant and measurable success through its implementation.
As of July 2026, Vision Zero is supported by 11,678 supporters and more than 1,000 Vision Zero trainers worldwide. Renowned companies such as ABB, Bayer, Boeing, Bosch, Google, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, and Boehringer Ingelheim, as well as major institutions including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore, and numerous other organizations and government bodies around the world, actively support the objectives of the Vision Zero strategy. The Vision Zero movement continues to grow every day. Its success demonstrates the strong acceptance and practical applicability of the easy-to-understand and action-oriented Vision Zero strategy across a wide range of economic sectors and social environments worldwide.
Organizations, institutions, and individuals are invited to become part of the Vision Zero movement by registering on the Vision Zero website.
